NASHA Technology
Restylane® and Macrolane™ are hyaluronic acid (HA) based gels of high purity formulated on unique technology patented by Q-Med, known as NASHA™.
Stabilized non-animal hyaluronic acid (NASHA) results in a highly biocompatible gel with minimal modification of the HA molecule (~1%) which means NASHA gel is recognised by the body as its own. As a result, NASHA gels are characterised by an excellent safety profile.
Moreover, the high gel strength of NASHA provides optimal correction over time, with over 15 million facial aesthetic treatments worldwide as further testimony to its quality.
The technology used in the production of NASHA makes it possible for the design of gel products to be in different levels of the skin.
